I made this after getting sick on my Cambodia trip. My stomach was feeling extra sensitive so this extra papaya was just what I needed. Papaya has special enzymes that help soothe the stomach by breaking down proteins and promoting a healthy acidic environment. Bananas contain pectin as well and are very easily digestible! The coconut water is also a great add in for replenishing electrolytes. This is a smoothie I will make any time, not just when my stomach is off because not only does it taste delish, but it’s also nice and filling with the protein powder added in!
Anytime I make smoothie bowls I use whatever toppings I have on hand. If I’m feeling like I want a little more substance granola is a great add in. Coconut and chia seeds are easy to keep stored and normally always go on my smoothie bowls! If you have extra fresh bananas, you can keep the slices very thin so you’re only using about 1/4 or less banana.
